CV CARE PROGRESSES

The Wall Street Journal Reported on November 24th that the death rate from coronary heart disease dropped 34% from 1995 to 2005, though it is still the biggest killer in the U.S. Deaths from cardiovascular disease dropped 26% over the same period. Deaths from stroke dropped 29% since 1999. Average total cholesterol in adults aged 20 to 74 dropped to 197 milligrams per deciliter in 2008 from 222 in 1962.

What is the purpose of this site? How can I use this site?
The aim of this patient centered site is to provide cardiology patients with general information regarding the VCACC (Virginia Chapter of the American College of Cardiology), important information to take to your cardiology office visit in order to make your visit meaningful, advocacy issues important to us all, quality initiatives by the ACC and the VCACC, and access links to specific cardiology information site at the ACC which can act a resource.
